Meet the Creator

My name is Heather and I'm the owner and creator of Copper Boom Creative. My passion for marketing started as a teenager. I remember watching MTV's Laguna Beach after school one day. On this particular episode Lauren Conrad was putting together a board for the designers of what outfits she was wanting advertised. I thought to myself "I want to be the person that guides people to trends." Fast forward 10 years, I'm working in clothing retail management learning marketing tactics, how to build a sale, and how to connect with customers on a personal level to not only serve them, but also help meet my company's sales goals. I then began developing social media content for other local companies: plumbing, churches, and wellness coaches. It was at that point I realized I can help so many small or local businesses gain a following without using overpriced advertising from large companies that don't know their clients personally. 

I grew up a little bit everywhere: Kansas, Missouri, Texas, Georgia, Virginia, Oklahoma, and West Virginia. I learned how to put myself out there and make friends quickly. My husband and I have a joke that we are "those people." You know, the ones that random people strike up conversations with at the grocery store. 

We don't mind being "those people." It gives us an opportunity to meet our neighbors, form relationships, and eventually help our community grow. We're big believers in putting into the world what you want to receive. We hope to instill those values into our son and help the world around us become a better place.
